GOOD NEWS!!

On June 19, 2012, the Essex County College Board of Trustees approved our new contract agreement.

One of the more important points of the contract is our new rate of pay:

2011-2012=$647 per credit (retroactive)

2012-2013=$667

2013-2014=$687

Everyone who taught during the 2011-2012 school year will get a retroactive check reflecting the difference in pay.

The written document will be available on this website and everyone will get a hard copy of it. As of now, there are a few corrections that must be made to the drafted document. The corrections will be made in a few weeks, as key people in the process are scheduled for vacations throughout the summer.

We are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative settlement with the Essex County College administration which we are recommending for ratification.

Full members should expect to receive a detailed email outlining the settlement. Please remember that only full members are eligible to vote for ratification.

We will notify you of the dates, times and place where the ballots will be cast and counted.
